BMET I position, Calem Medical Inc.

Calem Medical is looking for a Biomedical Equipment Field Service Technician (BMET1) to join our team. This entry level position is full time with occasional overtime. This is an exciting opportunity to travel across the Northwestern US and Alaska. This is a customer facing position with a focus on customer service and close attention to detail. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including reimbursements for meals, mobile phone, and automobile expenses. Overnight travel is required approximately 15% of the time depending on the month which may involve trips up to four days. We will also consider candidates for a nonentry level position for those with extensive biomedical and HTM experience.
Responsibilities ● Perform scheduled maintenance, performance tests, electrical safety inspections on medical equipment and diagnostic laboratory instruments ● Repair, install, and calibrate biomedical equipment and diagnostic laboratory instruments ● Communicate with management and coworkers on the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, and customer concerns ● Accurately document all repairs and inspections  ● Balance multiple job demands and prioritizing to meet customer needs ● Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education
Qualifications Education and Experience
● Associates degree in electronics field or equivalent military training required ● 3 months experience working with medical equipment in a clinical engineering environment required ● Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred ● Valid Driver License and reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment
 
Skills and Knowledge
● Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills over the phone, in person, and through email ● Strong written and verbal communication skills ● Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills ● Ability to work closely with coworkers  ● Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision ● Close attention to detail and very organized ● Driven to research complex repairs using a variety of sources (web, service manuals, vendors)
